Picking the Right Facial Hair Removal Products for You
Aug 1st, 2009 by admin

It is a fact that facial hair is a problem for everyone. It is a bigger deal for some than others though. It is indisputable that you tweeze at least one hair regularly though. It is just a fact of life.

But it you are like me, then plucking drives you insane. Sometimes I cannot see the mirror for the tears in my eyes! But I’m intimidated by facial hair creams. The only result I got from them in high school was a huge blister on my upper lip. Even a girlstache would have been better than that…

Fortunately hair removal creams are not now what they were in high school. They used to smell awful and be full of harsh chemicals. Now using one is kind of like an aromatherapy treatment. Of course, there are still some pitfalls to look out for.

Use the following tips to get the best possible results from your facial hair remover:

1. Do a test first. Before you put any cream on your face, try a little on your wrist. If you feel a burning feeling on your skin or you get a rash then you will know that you should not use it on your face. A small dab of the cream should be enough to test with.

2. Watch for herbal ingredients. You just plain need chemicals to melt hair away. But herbal extracts can help your skin recover from this exposure. Facial hair removal will go more smoothly if the product has a heavy moisturizer and natural ingredients.

3. Pick something with a fragrance. You probably cannot forget the smell of that stinky stuff that was used to remove leg hair. That smell was nothing but chemicals. Now you can mask or eliminate the smells. Many people need the scent to avoid allergic reactions to the chemical smells. Opt for the scent unless you cannot handle any type of artificial fragrance.

4. Work in sections on your face. Take it slow with putting the cream on your face. Always get started with the eyebrow area. It is not nearly as sensitive as the upper lip area. If you have no trouble with your brows, then you can start on your lip or chin area.
